Art Exhibition Series

Green Venture is a not for profit environmental organization committed to providing information and leading by example to influence healthy green lifestyles.

Green Venture invites artists in our community to submit works for the ongoing EcoHouse art exhibition series.

Green Venture is uniting the earth and the arts to:
• raise awareness 
• inspire action 
• and support local creativity

We are looking for visual artists to submit a proposal to display their work for for a period of several months at EcoHouse for group and solo exhibitions. There is no cost to participate.

Previous art exhibition

Acceptable mediums are paintings, drawings, prints and photos. A maximum of 15 pieces (depending upon size) can be displayed. Pieces may be offered for sale, as desired. A commission of 20%, to help defray operating costs of EcoHouse, will be collected by Green Venture on any pieces sold.

Location

Floorplan (ground floor of building):

East room has hardwood floor and brick fireplace. LED spotlights available. West room is very stark, with plain white walls and a central overhead light. Both rooms have a lot of natural light from large windows.

Proposal and Deadline:

• Artist’s statement addressing the work’s connection to nature/ environmental sustainability
• Visual samples of the work (slides, photos, CD, email attachment, etc)

Submissions will be handled on a first come first serve basis. Submissions will, on average, be three months in processing. (e.g. - An approved submission in January will have an April showing)

Green Venture will be responsible for creating and distributing promotional materials for each show that includes:

• Press release to local media (i.e.: Cable 14, Actlocally Calendar, The View Magazine, etc.)
• Article in Green Venture Newsletter
• Posters or flyers
• Invitations
• Exhibition Opening Event (light beverages and snacks)
